Liu Wen was born January 27, 1988 in Hunan Province in China. Her modeling career started in 2005 when she enter the Silk Road Model contest. She did not win this contest , but was instead discovered and featured on the cover of Chinese FHM in May 2007.
Wen signed with Marilyn Agency Paris in 2008 and has since become a national success. She has appeared in editorials for Elle, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Allure, Zoo Mag, i-D, Interview, Portuguese, German , French Spanish, Italian, America, British, and Teen Vogue. She has stared in campaigns for DKNY jeans, the GAP, Berney’s NY, Benntton, Alexander Wang, Converse, cKone, Bergdorf Goodman, Calvin Klein, and Vivienne Tam. Her runway credits hold big names such as Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Belenciaga, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Givenchy, Christian Dior, Luis Vuitton, Lavin, Anna Sui, Gucci, Miu Miu, and Yves Saint Laurent.
Liu Wen walked for 70 shows in New York, Paris, and Milan’s Spring 2010 Ready to Wear season, making her the second most booked model.
In 2010 Wen became the first East Asian woman to be the face of Estee Lauder (April 2010) and CK (2010 and 2011), walk in the Victoria Secret show (November 2009 and 2101). She has ranked top 10 in Top 50 Women Models at Models.com.
