Marcel Castenmiller was born November 14th, 1986 in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Castenmiller was discovered by celebrated photographer Ryan McGinely in 2006. Known for his androgenous look, he was signed to DNA models in 2008 and became the face of Theory’s fall ad campaign that same year. He was also in Vice in 2008 as one of fashion’s rising stars.
Named the face of Kenzo in 2009 he also walked in the spring collections for Burberry, Gucci, Kenzo, Paul Smith, Ann Demeulemeester, and Hermes in June. Castenmiller has also walked for the likes of Rag and Bone and has opened and closed for Ann Demeulemeester and other previously stated designers.
He has appeared in magazines such as i-D, Vogue Hommes International, Acne Paper, Interview magazine, Dazed and Confused, American Vogue, GQ, Numero Japan, and Italian GQ.
