An interview with Michale Alig by Chirstopher Bollen
A Brief History: Born in South Bend, Indiana on April 29, 1966 Michael Alig was co-founder to the Club Kids. These party-goers were notorious their outrageous styles, open bars, and their ability to create a party were ever they went. In 1997 Alig pleaded guilty to 1st degree manslaughter, for the death of Angel Melendez. Michael claims it was all in innocent fun, but everything darkened with abusive drug use.
Party Monster is a film based off of the Book Disco Bloodbath by James St. James. St James, bestfriend of Alig, wrote this memoir after Melendez’s death.
